 Simone Osborne - Simone is a passionate supporter of The Townships Project and has been involved with us since organizing a high school concert fundraiser in 2004. She has also sung at several fundraising concerts in Vancouver arranged by her (then) accompanist, Jocelyn Pritchard, founding Chair of The Townships Project.
Simone was born in Vancouver, where she also trained as a soprano. She is currently singing for the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto. Simone has received numerous prestigious opera awards as well as a full scholarship for her studies at the University of British Columbia. Recently Simone was one of the 5 winners of the 2008 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions – a high honour. She was also the 2007 winner of the International Czech and Slovak Voice Competition, resulting in contracts with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bratislava and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Kosice (Slovakia).
