Our 2009 and 2008 statements were audited by Gerard Fitzpatrick at Fitzpatrick & Company. Our 2007 statements were also audited by Gerard Fitzpatrick at his former firm, Beaton Fitzpatrick Murray.
During 2009, in addition to the direct transfers noted in the financial statements, we were responsible for the transfer of $50,000 directly from a South African mining house to Tetla Financial Solutions, and for the transfer of $12,000 directly from an offshore donor to Tembeka Social Investment Trust. We have not used professional fundraisers. The costs of fundraising in the financial statements are largely for the goods and services consumed at fundraising events for which no tax receipts are issued. As at December 31, 2009, we completed 11 years of operations. We have prepared some statistics and commentary which review some of the highlights of those years.
